We live in SA! It gets hot 🔥 ! But if you want to save on fuel only turn on the ac when you’ve reached cruising speed. Why? Well it’s simple your ac compressor is run by a belt in the engine which means you use more fuel when it’s on. If your vehicle is older this is even more important — the air con can account for up to 5% of your rides annual bill. 📈
Take it easy
We’re driving less than ever before, bet you’ve heard that a lot recently 😉. If you want to save on fuel it could be as simple as taking it sloooow… Let’s get into that a bit more… Aggressive driving can increase your fuel usage by up to 33%!!!! Aggressive driving? We’re talking racing from traffic light to traffic light🚦 and slamming on your breaks. Yeah we all KNOW slamming on your breaks isn’t great for your ride (or your neck) but when you break less brutally your brake pads will last longer, and your tyres will thank you.
